got these after my OEM pair of EC7's broke. On appearance, they are almost identical to the EC7's with some minor cosmetic changes and a 'Y' chord instead of the 'j' chord. They retain their stylish looks, comfort and colour. Listening to music now, after about a day, the bass and lower mids appear to be slightly punchier than the EC7's, however, the treble seems to be a little over powering, while sounding thin and it lacks the warmth that the EC7's had. Im not sure if this will improve with time. In summary, I'd say that these keep the comfort and style of the previous EC7's. The bass and lower mids are punchier, but the treble appears to be over dominant and is moderately thin. This may improve with time, but until then, I cant say that I recommend these over the EC7's.
